Lusitania Casa is a complete bathroom design house, founded by Murtaza and Nafeesa in the United Arab Emirates and built on a simple conviction: that a bathroom should be as considered as any other room in the home, and that the quality to make it so shouldn’t be reserved for the few.

The brand spans the full architecture of a bathroom — basins, mixers, showers, sanitaryware and finishes — designed around the conditions of this region and manufactured to the standards of Italian craftsmanship.

The name, the craft, the home

Lusitania was the Roman name for the land that is now Portugal — inseparable from the Age of Discovery, when explorers set out toward unknown coastlines with ambition, precision and craftsmanship equal to the journey. It is an evocative reference rather than a literal one: the name was chosen for the spirit it carries, of venturing into new territory with the discipline to back it up.

To build products that could carry that ambition, Lusitania Casa turned to Italy — partnering with manufacturing rooted in decades of tradition in form, finish and durability. The result is a brand with two identities in one: an Emirati point of view on what this market needs, made real through Italian hands.

The founders

Murtaza spent twenty years inside the UAE’s real estate industry — developing, building and handing over homes across the region, and coming to understand exactly what its bathrooms are asked to endure, and where the products available were falling short.

Nafeesa brought the other half of that equation. Trained as an engineer, she is responsible for the product quality and innovation behind every collection — the discipline that turns a good read on the market into a product that performs, year after year, under real conditions.

Luxury without excess

Lusitania Casa favours restraint over ornamentation: clean lines, honest materials and forms that earn their place. Every collection is held to the standards of Italian manufacturing — solid brass beneath every finish, vitreous china and solid ceramic bodies, and engineering that anticipates heat, hard water and heavy daily use.

Our Dubai showroom stages every product in a fully working bathroom, so a basin, a shower or a mixer can be seen and felt exactly as it will live in your home. Lusitania Casa bathrooms have been specified in residential developments including Floarea Residence by Mashriq Elite, Livel Residenza, the villas at Sanctuary Falls and Cove Residence by Imtiaz, and the brand was selected by the jury at Love That Design. A showroom in Abu Dhabi is coming soon.
